Undoubtedly, the Green Bay Packers must improve their receiving corps after Davante Adams left for the Las Vegas Raiders.
It would be difficult to fill the void that the All-Pro wide receiver left, especially after a season with 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The trio of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Amari Rodgers doesn’t invoke much fear among opponents.
Therefore, the Packers are trying to look for solutions, as NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo shared.

Garafolo tweeted, “The #Packers are hosting WR Sammy Watkins on a visit today, sources say. No deal as of now, but stay tuned.”
The words “stay tuned” might signify that a contract is in the works.
In fact, that came true soon after as a deal was announced by NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

While Watkins isn’t the best option available, the Packers need an additional option for reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers.
The former Clemson standout has played for four teams in eight NFL seasons.
He started his pro career with the Buffalo Bills, wherein he had his best season of 1,047 yards and nine touchdowns in 2015.
Watkins last suited up for the Baltimore Ravens and played 13 games.
Unfortunately, injuries derailed his once-promising career.
Aside from signing him, the Packers might also draft a wide receiver in round one of the 2022 draft.
A Different Challenge For The Reigning MVP
Losing Adams might be a big blow to the Packers’ cause.
But having Rodgers gives them a chance to win.
It might be difficult because he won’t have his primary receiver for eight seasons.
However, Lazard and Cobb should be ready for more significant roles on offense.
He won’t sign a three-year, $150 million deal if he does not intend to win.
Rodgers might deserve another MVP award if the Packers enter the playoffs with an excellent win-loss record.
