The Green Bay Packers had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for over two decades, and they only have two Super Bowl rings to show for it.
Still, having back-to-back first-ballot Hall of Famers at quarterback gives them bragging rights over pretty much every single team in the division.
And, unfortunately for them, there’s a slight chance that the Packers may have done it again.
Following their preseason game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals, Packers fans and beat writers raved about Jordan Love’s performance.
HC Matt LaFleur lauded his poise and control and made it clear that he’ll play him again at some point in the preseason, whether it’s next week vs. the New England Patriots or in the finale (via NFL insider Rob Demovsky).

Of course, we’re talking about just one preseason game, so we should put the brakes on the Hall of Famer thing.
Then again, there have been plenty of positive comments about Love’s off-season improvement, with his teammates lauding his work ethic and leadership skills.
It’s also worth noting that the Packers’ front office has also been quite fond of Love since they took him in the first round of the draft.
Needless to say, that paved the way for Aaron Rodgers’ departure and was pretty much a breaking point in their relationship.
But if Love can be at least half as good as Rodgers was in his prime, then it might all be worth it for the Cheeseheads, so you better not sleep on them next season.
