The Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks just starred in one of the most exciting and electrifying games we’ve seen in quite a while.
Rick Carlisle’s team came back from a double-digit deficit and never took their feet off the gas en route to a 157-152 win.
That’s why even Pacers star Myles Turner took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the win, stating that it was something he had never seen in the NBA.

This wasn’t the highest-scoring affair in NBA history.
As a matter of fact, it was tied for the 16th highest-scoring game ever, with the 1983 Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons still holding the record with an epic 186-184 matchup.
Still, given the way the game is played nowadays with all the small-ball and the pace-and-space offenses, it wouldn’t be shocking to see another game cracking the top 10 of this list pretty soon.
This Pacers team is quite exciting to see.
They play at an electric pace, and that’s possible because of Tyrese Haliburton, who’s blossoming like a young superstar right before our eyes.
He was in his bag and had perhaps his best performance yet in the win over the Hawks, logging a whopping 37 points with five rebounds, 16 assists, three steals, one block, and nine three-pointers on 61/60/85 shooting splits.
Of course, old-school fans won’t enjoy watching teams combining for 37 three-pointers and both shooting over 60% from the floor, and they will need to tweak some things on the defensive end of the floor, but this was still quite the fun game to watch.
