The Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks just faced off in a clash between two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams.
While it was close for the majority of the game, the Bucks came out on top.
This was thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored 64 points, a franchise record for the Bucks.
While this was a historic accomplishment for the Bucks’ big man, it was overshadowed by an on-court skirmish.
A few players got heated after the game, which resulted in the Pacers’ GM getting elbowed in the ribs, at least according to Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle.
In a postgame conversation shared via Hoops Hype, Carlisle said, “So he certainly has a bruised rib, and who knows if it’s anything more than that.”
Rick Carlisle after the Pacers-Bucks game: "I don't think any punches were landed, but my general manager got elbowed in the ribs by one of their players. So he certainly has a bruised rib and who knows if it's anything more than that." pic.twitter.com/CBqLIV2vHz

The tone in Carlisle’s voice indicates that he suspects foul play but doesn’t want to make any firm allegations.
A big reason for this postgame scuffle was that some Pacers players tried to take the game ball away from Antetokounmpo.
This was a historic night for him, but it was also a historic night for one of the Pacers players, as Carlisle recanted in this video.
He talked about Oscar Tshiebwe and how he scored his first NBA point in this contest.
Allegedly, Carlisle and his team only thought about Tshiebwe, not about Antetokounmpo’s big night.
Whether Carlisle’s comments are true remains to be seen.
Fans of both teams are torn about this situation, which was the biggest storyline on social media for several hours.
After seeing this go down, fans anxiously await the next matchup between these two teams, which is scheduled for January 1st.
