The Baltimore Orioles had a field day on Thursday night against the New York Yankees, scoring 14 runs and securing a series split at Yankee Stadium.
However, an interesting moment took place in the eighth inning when Yankees left-hander Wandy Peralta drilled outfielder Colton Cowser with a pitch.
Both benches were subsequently warned by home plate umpire Dan Iassogna, prompting an argument from Orioles manager Brandon Hyde.
Within a few seconds, Hyde was tossed from the game.
After the game, Hyde talked about his ejection and threw a little bit of shade at Peralta and the Yankees, saying that it was his first ejection while his team was up by “two touchdowns.”

Hyde’s ejection was certainly an interesting one.
He didn’t get much time to voice his opinion.
It also was an odd time for Peralta to be throwing at Orioles hitters and an odd time for an ejection.
Hyde was frustrated that both benches were warned in the moment.
But it took only a few seconds for Iassogna to make a decision and toss Hyde out of the game.
Peralta had come closer to hitting another batter in the head before hitting Cowser on the shoulder.
Adding to Hyde’s displeasure was the fact that Peralta was not tossed.
But Hyde’s postgame comments were a nice subtle jab at the Yankees.
The Orioles were far ahead of the Yankees in that moment, and given the score, it certainly was an interesting time for an ejection.
Hyde, however, was quick to roast the Yankees at the end of the game.
