MLB All-Star weekend is one of the most enjoyable times of the year for the players and fans.
All the game’s greats get together at one spot for what has turned into a must-see spectacle.
The Home Run Derby might be seen as the best event of the week.
Seeing some of the best players in baseball smash home runs has always been enjoyable.
One player that will be having a homecoming in the event is Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman.
He is from Portland, Oregon, which is not too far from T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
Dan Connolly mentioned how this event will not be the first time Rutschman is competing in the Mariners ballpark.
Rutschman happened to win the regional Pitch, Hit & Run competition in this same park when he was eight years old.
At age 8, Adley Rutschman won the regional Pitch, Hit & Run competition in Seattle in what is now T-Mobile Park. At 25, he’ll be there again, competing in the MLB Home Run Derby and All Star game. That’s a pretty solid homecoming. https://t.co/bKrBIIGKoj

You can expect that many of his family and friends will be in attendance as Rutschman makes his All-Star debut.
It will be interesting to see how Rutschman performs in his first Home Run Derby.
He has only hit 11 home runs this year which is less than every other participant.
But, he does have raw power and the ability to hit from both sides of the plate.
Rutschman is hoping to become the first catcher to ever win the derby.
He will be facing some tough competition with the likes of Julio Rodriguez, Pete Alonso, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., to name a few.
But, Rutschman has the potential to surprise some people if he can get into a rhythm.
