The Baltimore Orioles are incredibly talented.
They are 35-21 in the 2023 season, just four games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the AL East lead.
Between last year and this one, they have had several of the best prospects in the game make their MLB debuts.
Adley Rutschman, Grayson Rodriguez, DL Hall, Gunnar Henderson, Joey Ortiz… most of them are already important contributors to the franchise.
There is another infielder in Triple-A, however, who could be even better than Henderson and Ortiz.
It’s Jordan Westburg.
Not only he is extremely talented, but he is also red-hot at the plate as we speak.
Jordan Westburg is at it again.

On Thursday, Westburg hit his third homer in his last six games, and the 15th of his season in Triple-A.
Yes, that’s right, we just finished the second month of the 2023 campaign and he is already up to 15 round-trippers.
But he is doing it all with an incredible batting average, too.
After his long ball on Thursday, he is slashing .315/.386/.619 with 48 RBI in 220 plate appearances.
He knows how to take a walk, he doesn’t strike out that much, and he is a very good fielder.
Westburg is just another cog in a well-oiled machine, which is the name we can give to the Orioles’ farm system over the last two years.
The farm is the reason why they are legitimate playoff contenders after a series of horrible seasons.
It might not be too long before we see Westburg make his MLB debut; probably closer to July or August if there are no injuries.
If there are, we could potentially see him sooner than expected.
He is one of the good ones.
