The Philadelphia 76ers put in a lot of work to signing P.J. Tucker during the summer.
The team was adamant about getting the forward and certain players were willing to personally sacrifice a lot to get him.
James Harden, for example, took a substantial pay cut just so the team could afford Tucker’s salary.
It was thought that Tucker would be a huge part of the team’s success and could help them finally make the Finals.

So far, he isn’t delivering as he was supposed to.
In fact, Tucker has gone scoreless in 7 of his last 8 games.
He hasn’t scored a single point against the Utah Jazz, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and Orlando Magic twice.
He did score against the Charlotte Hornets on November 23, but he only put up 3 points.
Right now, Tucker isn’t worth the hard work – but can he turn it all around?
Tucker’s Totals
Tucker was scoring 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists last season while playing for the Miami Heat.
This year, he’s averaging just 3.4 points. 4.4 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Despite that, he has started in all 21 of his games and is playing for about 28 minutes a night.
At what point will head coach Doc Rivers decide that something needs to change and Tucker has to take a seat?
The good news is that the 76ers have been winning during Tucker’s tough times and have been victorious in 6 of their last 8 games.
Tucker recently opened up to the Philadelphia Inquirer about his struggles, saying, “As long as we’re winning, it doesn’t matter.”
Sure, the wins are important and help the team but Tucker really needs to focus on what’s going wrong with his game as soon as possible.
