Coming into Monday’s game against the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics were thought to have the edge over Jimmy Butler and company in Game 7 due to winning three straight games and playing at TD Garden.
Unfortunately, an early ankle sprain by Jayson Tatum and an awful performance by Jaylen Brown resulted in the Celtics losing on their home floor and being embarrassed by the Heat.
With the 2022-23 NBA season officially ending for Boston, there will be a lot of questions about Brown’s future with the team and whether the Celtics could decide to trade him or lock him into a supermax contract extension.
If the Celtics decide to go the trade route, the Atlanta Hawks could be a team that shows interest in the 26-year-old star, as the team is currently the favorite to land him in a potential trade, according to BetOnline.ag via NBA Central.

The Hawks will likely be in the news a lot throughout the NBA offseason, with a lot of talk about the team potentially being ready to move on from star guard Trae Young.
Young has already been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers and now could be a target for the Celtics if they believe he’s the missing piece to the championship puzzle in Boston.
It is very early in the offseason process for the Celtics, and many things can and likely will change as the team gets closer to NBA free agency in July.
One thing seems certain; however, if the Celtics want to make a big move, it will almost certainly have to involve Brown.
