The NFL rumor mill is churning with an unexpected development that could reshape the Cleveland Browns franchise.
Myles Garrett, the team’s defensive cornerstone, recently dropped a bombshell by requesting a trade.
The move comes on the heels of Browns general manager Andrew Berry giving previous assurances that Garrett wasn’t going anywhere, not even for the most tempting trade offer.
Now, Garrett’s potential departure represents a seismic shift for a franchise that selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
With 102.5 sacks in his eight seasons, he’s been the heart of Cleveland’s defensive identity and appears firmly on a Hall of Fame trajectory.
The trade speculation has already kicked into high gear, and initial betting odds paint an intriguing picture of potential landing spots.
“The [Buffalo] Bills and [Philadelphia] Eagles are the top destinations for Myles Garrett, according to Bovada odds from the end of the regular season,” The 33rd Team wrote on X.

The Eagles and Bills are co-favorites with odds of +650, followed by the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens at +800, with the Atlanta Falcons at +1150
Early indications suggest the Browns have no immediate plans to honor Garrett’s request, preferring to maintain their original strategy of keeping him for the next two seasons.
However, one particularly eye-catching trade proposal has emerged, suggesting Garrett could head to Philadelphia in exchange for Bryce Huff, along with first-round picks in 2025 and 2026, plus an additional 2026 third-round pick from the New York Jets.
Though tantalizing for Eagles fans, that proposal isn’t without complications.
As a Super Bowl participant, the Eagles’ 2025 first-round pick will be at the bottom of the round, while Huff’s contract presents challenges, and the Browns would likely seek more immediate value.
