Shedeur Sanders has been a projected top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, dating back to his final year in college.
However, that might not be the case.
With the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants reportedly set to pass on him, he could fall almost out of the top ten.
At least, that’s how oddsmakers feel right now.
As shown by Up & Adams on X, the New Orleans Saints are now the odds-on favorites to land him at no. 9.

That comes on the heels of the latest reports about Derek Carr.
The veteran quarterback is reportedly dealing with a shoulder injury that could force him to miss the entire season.
Even if he were to play, some analysts thought the Saints would be in the market for a quarterback to build for the future.
Of course, for this to happen, the Las Vegas Raiders would also have to pass on Sanders.
They traded for Geno Smith, so it would make sense if they weren’t interested in another quarterback.
Then again, they were tied to Sanders for months, and given his ties to minority owner Tom Brady, it wouldn’t be surprising if they revisited the idea of taking him if he’s still available by the time they’re on the clock.
The Raiders have +2200 odds to get him, so oddsmakers clearly don’t think that’s a likely scenario.
Still, we’ve seen crazier things happen in the league, and it’ll be interesting to see how these odds age once Sanders joins his team.
