The NBA trade deadline is less than a month away, with teams around the league only having a matter of weeks to wheel and deal in order to improve their rosters as buyers or begin to tear things down as sellers.
One team that has been rumored to be ready to tear things down even before the 2023-24 NBA regular season began was the Chicago Bulls, as it became clear that the storied franchise would embrace the idea of blowing things up if the team hadn’t made significant progress before the trade deadline on February 8.
With the Bulls having a number of intriguing trade assets, many expect the team to make a deal or two before the deadline in the coming weeks, with Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and/or Alex Caruso potentially heading elsewhere.
Along with three of their best players mentioned constantly in trade rumors, there’s also been speculation as to who may be coming to Chicago in return, with D’Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers being the latest linked to the Bulls, according to Bovada via NBACentral.

Although Russell seemed to be the ideal fit with the team that drafted him when he was traded back to Los Angeles last season, this season has gone in the other direction for the veteran journeyman, as he could be the first player on the Lakers roster sent packing ahead of the trade deadline.
Guard Austin Reaves is also a notable name on the Lakers that has been linked to many trade rumors, including potential deals with the Bulls.
