The Milwaukee Bucks had their season end unceremoniously and prematurely for a second year in a row after getting upset by the 6-seed Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs as their superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard both missed time due to injuries.
A key member of the squad is hitting free agency this offseason, as Patrick Beverley’s contract is up following a midseason trade, and the early odds show a clear favorite to land him for the 2024-25 season.
NBA Central shared odds from Bovada Sportsbook that have Patrick Beverley as a -125 favorite to return to Milwaukee this offseason, with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Golden State Warriors all tied for second place with +850 odds.

Beverley fit in well in Milwaukee as a complement to Lillard and shot 36 percent from three-point range while bringing much-needed defensive intensity to the team.
He will turn 36 in July, so it’s unlikely he will get anything more than a one-year deal as he nears the end of his career, but he still has plenty of value as a backup point guard and locker-room presence.
Whichever team signs him will also take on the 4-game suspension next season that he received for his altercation with a fan in the Pacers series.
Beverley has played for six teams in the last four years and has become a true journeyman in the latter portion of his career.
Where he goes next is anybody’s guess, but surely the Bucks would love to have him back.
