The Los Angeles Clippers’ season came to a disappointing end, which is something that has become a bit of a trend for years now.
However, even though they weren’t exactly as successful as they hoped to be, the season was very positive for one of their players.
Russell Westbrook took a big step to shut down all those negative narratives about him.
He agreed to take a huge pay cut and then volunteered to come off the bench for the sake of the team, showing not only his leadership but also his feel for the game.
Now, he has a player option for the second year of his contract, and some teams might be interested in giving him a shot and offering him a pay raise.
With that in mind, NBA Central reports that the Miami Heat are currently the odds-on favorites to land him if he decides to leave the Clippers, according to Bovada.

The Heat currently have +300 odds, and are followed by the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, and Boston Celtics.
Truth be told, it’s kind of difficult to envision Westbrook leaving his hometown at this point in his career, especially if the Clippers manage to keep Paul George and James Harden.
But if that’s not the case, then he could do a lot worse than retiring in South Beach, or perhaps a return to Oklahoma City to end his career with a full-circle moment would be even more fitting.
