Giannis Antetokounmpo is still the most important player for his Milwaukee Bucks and has a chance at returning to the NBA Finals in a few months.
And while there are many talented players in the league, Antetokounmpo is doing something that no one else is.
As noted by Andy Bailey, Antetokounmpo has changed his game in a big way and it’s paying off well.
Last season, Antetokounmpo was 42nd in points added by overall shooting.
This season, he is now on track to lead the NBA in that same statistic for the first time since the 2018-19 season, despite his midrange attempts being down and his three-point attempt rate lower than it has been in nearly ten years.

For the season, Antetokounmpo is posting 30.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists on an incredibly strong 61.9% from the field.
Those are remarkable numbers, but actually a bit down from what he was producing last season.
The jump from 42nd to first in points added by overall shooting is a huge leap and it wasn’t done simply because of luck.
Instead, Antetokounmpo has obviously changed the approach to his game and is trying to do things differently.
This has been great news for the Bucks, who are once again the second-best team in the Eastern Conference right now with a record of 40-21.
Milwaukee is hoping that this year’s postseason is nothing like last year’s when they were pushed out in the opening round by the Miami Heat.
In fact, Antetokounmpo has made it crystal clear that his singular goal is to earn another championship this year.
During the summer, the Bucks’ front office made some big changes in order to help the team win another title.
This statistic proves that Antetokounmpo also made some changes.
