The Denver Nuggets are the current NBA champions because of their deep and stacked roster.
Each player brings something special and different to the table.
That included Michael Porter Jr., who is known as one of the best shooters in the league.
Because of his skills, Porter isn’t one to pass the ball that much.
That has earned him the nickname Michael “Never Swing The Rock” Porter Jr. among some NBA fans.
Speaking to Official NBA Buzz, via NBACentral, Porter talked about that moniker and made it clear that he’s not bothered by it.
“I’m one of the best shooters in the league, humbly. I don’t see contests. It doesn’t feel contested,” he said.

Porter currently boasts a 48.7% field goal percentage with 41.4% from beyond the three-point line.
He is definitely one of the best shooters on his team and also one of the more talented in the league.
Some might say he is careless with his shots or perhaps even selfish because of his lack of passing.
But Porter has the mentality that his approach isn’t broken, so why should he try to fix it?
Clearly, the Nuggets are doing something right because they just won their first championship.
That means that Porter will continue to play as he has been in the new season and beyond.
After missing nearly an entire season due to a severe back injury, Porter returned to this team in 2022-23 and was quickly playing like his regular self.
For the year, he averaged 17.4 points and 5.5 rebounds.
He also made an average of three three-pointers a night, which was a career-high.
Coming off of that season and the success it had, Porter is ready to keep playing as he has been.
Fans shouldn’t expect anything different from him in 2023-24.
