The trade deadline rumors are heating up.
We’re now just a week away from the official deadline.
Several big names could be on the move, and while it’s fun to speculate, we have no way of knowing what’s going to happen in the next week.
The 29-year-old righty is 5-8 with a respectable 3.83 ERA after taking a hard luck loss last night against the Kansas City Royals.
After the game, Syndergaard sounded off on the trade rumors, stating that he doesn’t really have an opinion on the matter at this point, but right now, he’s happy to be an Angel.
Angels writer Sam Blum tweeted Syndergaard’s postgame comments.

Could Thor Be On The Move?
Could Syndergaard be on the move?
With the Angels well out of postseason contention, it seems very likely that a contending team could take a chance on him.
It has to be stressful for players during trade deadline season as they constantly hear their names brought up in trade rumors.
Syndergaard here is just trying to be candid about the way he’s feeling.
It’s a tough situation for sure, especially when both he and the Angels expected to be in contention this year.
But right now, he’s at least just trying to live in the moment and enjoy what could be his final days as a member of the Angels.
A number of teams will certainly be interested in Syndergaard.
Perhaps the St. Louis Cardinals are one of them, given that they just lost Steven Matz for an extended period of time.
The Boston Red Sox could use him too, with all the injuries that have befallen them in their rotation.
