With the NFC appearing wide open, there’s mounting pressure on the Dallas Cowboys to finally get over the hump and make some noise in the playoffs.
Although the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles are the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, Dallas lurks as a legitimate threat to their chances.
The Cowboys have assembled a deep and talented roster that features superstars on both sides of the field.
Offensively, though, the team will go as far as Dak Prescott can take them.
Prescott has endured a couple of up-and-down seasons due to injuries the past couple of years, but 2023 represents his best opportunity to show the league that he is capable of leading a roster in the postseason.
The signal caller has shown he can win games, but still has his fair share of doubters.
Given the quality of the roster, media analysts like Nick Wright believe this could be Prescott’s most pressured-filled season yet via First Things First.
“This is the biggest year of Dak’s career and the most pressure he’s ever been under. … The Cowboys have all of the pieces possible, in a wide open conference, with legitimate Super Bowl expectations,” Wright argued.

Although Jerry Jones has publicly backed Prescott, there’s no denying that he has to prove that he’s the quarterback the organization can depend on.
There are little to no excuses for the Cowboys now as they’ve got everything they need to compete, but it remains to be seen if Prescott is truly up to the challenge.
