The New York Jets are doubling down on their bet.
They believe Aaron Rodgers is the guy they need to get over the hump, so they made all moves they needed to make to put him in a position to succeed.
They revamped their ever-struggling offensive line, and they added another talented wide receiver to their corps.
Nonetheless, NFL analyst Nick Wright is far from impressed with them or what they’ve done.
Talking on his What’s Wright? Podcast, the FOX Sports pundit stated that there’s absolutely no evidence that Rodgers will be any good again.
“I don’t know what evidence people have that Aaron Rodgers is going to be great again,” Wright said.

He argued that, while they did improve their offensive line, they did so by adding aging players, all to help the oldest player in the league.
Wright thinks GM Joe Douglas is just doubling down because he knows he’s going to get fired if this doesn’t work out anyway.
He does make some valid points in terms of age, and it’s more than evident that this team might not be built to compete for years to come, at least not on offense.
Then again, even if he’s old and coming off a torn Achilles, it’s Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about here.
He’s one of the greatest passers this game has ever seen, and he’s going to have time and space to operate.
He’s never been the most mobile guy in the game, so it’s not like he’s going to make a lot of adjustments to still be efficient.
If you’re going to go all-in for a quarterback, it might as well be for one of the best to ever do it.
