The Offensive Player of the Year award is a massive honor.
This has recently transformed into primarily a non-quarterback award, given the number of quarterbacks to win MVP as of late.
Nick Wright has recently predicted a changing of the guard, indicating Atlanta Falcons rookie Bijan Robinson is next in line for the award.
“He’s going to be the engine that drives the Atlanta Falcons to the playoffs,” Wright said on “First Things First.”

He went on to say that Robinson won’t just be an elite player for the Falcons, but “will be far and away the best RB in football.”
Robinson is one of the most highly-touted running back prospects in recent history.
His dominance at the University of Texas was enough for Robinson to be honored with the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation’s top back.
Now, Robinson has an opportunity to capitalize on the hype, hoping to make a massive Year 1 impact on the Falcons’ offense.
The Falcons have one of the youngest offensive cores in the NFL, led by Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London.
They have used early draft capital in the past three years on offensive players, hoping to propel themselves forward.
Since Matt Ryan’s exit, the Falcons’ offense has hit a standstill, unable to make a big splash in the league.
With any luck, Robinson will play extremely well in the run game, opening up passing lanes for young QB Desmond Ridder.
With two weeks until the Falcons kick-off, fans won’t have to wait long to see Robinson in action.
