While plenty of moves have taken place so far in NFL free agency this year, there could still be more to come.
There have been questions surrounding the future of quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence with the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively, as both will be entering the final year of their contracts.
But Nick Wright said on Fox Sports 1’s “First Things First” that he is almost certain both will get new contracts before the start of the 2024 season.
“I am near 100% confident that Dak Prescott and Trevor Lawrence are both signing new deals before next season begins,” Wright said.

Some have speculated or even suggested that Prescott could walk after the upcoming season, especially given his continued poor performances in the playoffs, but it seems as if the Cowboys do want to keep him around.
Before they can give him an extension, they have to create enough salary cap flexibility.
Over the last few years, they have had one of the NFL’s most talented rosters on both sides of the football, but they haven’t done much in the postseason, and they haven’t reached the NFC Championship Game since the 1995 season.
Lawrence looked like an emerging star in 2022 when he led the Jaguars to a strong finish and a divisional-round appearance, but his numbers dipped a bit last season while his team missed the playoffs.
While he threw for 4,016 yards and 21 touchdowns, he also threw 14 interceptions, compared to just eight in 2022.
Lots of money has been given out to QBs, wide receivers and even pass rushers across the league over the last couple of years, and Prescott and Lawrence could be set to secure a big bag soon.
