Trevor Lawrence has thrived since Doug Pederson took over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
That change helped the Jaguars transform from a three-win team to a playoff winner.
Lawrence also increased his completions, passing yards, and touchdowns from Years 1 to 2.
He also improved his completion percentage from 59.6 to 66.3.
But while the Clemson product is one of the up-and-coming NFL quarterbacks, Nick Wright pointed out a nemesis that Lawrence can’t defeat.
“The Jags, in their last 9 games, are 7-0 against everyone but the Chiefs, and 0-2 against the Chiefs. It’s not an exaggeration to say maybe The Prince gets a little nervous when he sees The King,” Wright said in his What’s Wright? Podcast.

In Lawrence’s last 13 games, Wright also mentioned that he was 9-1 against other teams and 0-3 against the Chiefs.
The third-year quarterback didn’t play that bad when he faced Mahomes and the Chiefs.
He had 29 completions for 259 yards and two touchdowns during his first encounter with Kansas City.
Lawrence also finished with 24 passes for 217 yards, a touchdown, and an interception during their Divisional Round matchup last season.
However, the Jaguars starting quarterback is still young and can turn things around.
Lawrence must dig deeper to overcome the obstacle that is Patrick Mahomes.
Otherwise, he and the Jaguars will be stuck in modest success without getting near the ultimate prize.
