While it might not have been dominant, the Dallas Cowboys moved to 4-2 over their Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
This win came at a great time for their standing in the NFC East given the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the New York Jets.
The Cowboys are still one game back of the Eagles for the division lead, giving the two teams a race to the top for the rest of the season.
While fans are hoping to see a great battle, Nick Wright recently gave his prediction about the upcoming weeks.
“There’s a very good argument that, by Thanksgiving, the Cowboys are going to be in first place,” Wright said on “First Things First.”

Wright laid out both teams’ schedules over the next several weeks.
The Cowboys have a bye, followed by a game against the Eagles, and then play the Giants the following week.
The Eagles play the Miami Dolphins, followed by the Washington Commanders and Cowboys, and then have a bye of their own.
If the Cowboys can play perfect football in their next two games, and the Eagles falter, the Cowboys will be in first place, by Wright’s estimation.
By losing to the Jets, the Eagles not only showed that they are beatable but gave teams a blueprint to keep them in games.
Jalen Hurts was forced to throw a lot during this game and threw three interceptions as a result.
If the Cowboys and the Eagles’ two opponents in the next two weeks can put significant pressure on Hurts, it could result in paydirt for the Cowboys, vaulting them to the No. 1 spot in the division.
