The NFC East division is shaping up to be as competitive as ever, with three out of the four teams expected to make some noise during the 2023 NFL season and potentially compete for a Super Bowl title.
After making it to the Super Bowl last year, the Philadelphia Eagles are considered the cream of the crop in the division, with Jalen Hurts transforming this team during the 2022 campaign and making the storied franchise relevant again.
However, the Dallas Cowboys are getting a lot of buzz lately, with America’s Team having arguably the best defense in the NFL heading into the 2023 campaign while also having a formidable offense led by Dak Prescott.
Although the Eagles are likely the favorites to come out on top in the division, Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright made his case for the Cowboys being the team to beat in the NFC East on “First Things First.”
"Right now, this moment, I'm leaning towards the Cowboys winning the NFC East. I think the winner of the NFC East is probably going to be the No. 1 seed."

Along with believing that the Cowboys will come out on top in the NFC East, Wright went as far as to say that Dallas will likely be the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which is possible as the conference is weaker than usual this season.
Wright thinks that star linebacker Micah Parsons will be a big reason for the team’s success this season, and that is pretty much on par with what people have been saying about this team and how good the defense will be in 2023.
If the Cowboys defense does become among the league’s elite and Prescott can get this offense firing on all cylinders, Dallas may very well be the team to beat in the NFC.
