The Philadelphia 76ers were viewed as a top team in the league heading into the 2023-24 NBA season.
But over the course of the season, the 76ers have struggled to live up to those high expectations.
A key reason behind the team’s struggles is obviously Joel Embiid’s knee injury.
However, fans haven’t noticed a sense of urgency from the rest of the roster in Embiid’s absence.
Keeping that in mind, many are anticipating that head coach Nick Nurse will make some changes to the rotation before it’s too late to make a comeback this season.
Benching veteran star Tobias Harris has been proposed numerous times in the NBA community, but Nurse denied having any plans to do so, via Sam DiGiovanni.
“Nope, not yet,” Nurse said when asked if he has considered bringing Harris off the bench.

Although Nurse is against the decision to bench Harris for now, it could change in the future.
As good as Harris is, he has struggled to play well over the past few games.
He had a forgettable game against the New York Knicks, adding just 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 26 minutes of playing time.
Harris’ poor performance came due to his abysmal 1-of-6 shooting performance from the floor.
The veteran forward is making $39.2 million this season, but his numbers are certainly not justifying that right now.
For the season, he has averaged 17.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the 76ers.
They are solid numbers but not even close to what a team should be getting from a max contract player.
Could it lead to Harris departing from the 76ers this summer once his contract expires?
