Finally, New York Jets fans have something to cheer for after it was announced that quarterback Zach Wilson will start in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini tweeted, “Zach Wilson has been cleared and will start Sunday against the Steelers, Robert Saleh announces. He will practice fully. If all goes well, he will ‘absolutely’ start, Saleh says.”
While Wilson’s return is welcome news for Jets supporters, they also pray that no untoward incidents happen to him between now and Sunday.

Wilson had a shaky rookie season, winning just three games and throwing more interceptions than touchdowns.
However, he was on a tear after returning from the sprained posterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered last year.
The former BYU standout threw nine touchdowns and two interceptions after his return.
He will also come to Pittsburgh with 156 consecutive passes and five straight games without an interception.
Jets fans have been waiting for his return, and they expect him to elevate the team’s play.
Zach Wilson will be stepping into a team with 2 really good guards, and average center & right tackle. 2 WRS who can get open at will, a solid TE & a top 5 RB duo in the NFL with a creative play caller. This offense is going to take off. #Jets

However, some fans may rather have Joe Flacco starting against Pittsburgh instead of Wilson.
Still, they will roll with Wilson against a loaded defense with stars like Cameron Heyward, Alex Highsmith, Myles Jack, and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Wilson’s Return Helps The Entire Team
His comeback makes wide receiver Elijah Moore excited because they developed a connection last season.

Likewise, his scrambling ability also compensates for the patchwork offensive line.

Turning in steady performances at quarterback will also help their defense, especially their talented rotation at cornerback.
Man if Zach Wilson can figure it out at QB the Jets could be special with how much talent they have. Their CB room had a really good performance against the best WR room in the NFL this past Sunday (measured using perfectly covered play rate) pic.twitter.com/im09b91Ete

But if the Jets are to succeed, they must provide solid pocket presence around Wilson.
