Dallas Cowboys fans are not happy with head coach Mike McCarthy on Monday.
He led the team to a 12-5 finish, only to lose at home to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card playoffs.
And in true McCarthy fashion, his team lost thanks to some bad clock management.
This is only his second season in Dallas and he proved he can lead the team to success.
But winning in the postseason is what matters for a team like the Cowboys and his job has been called into question.
Cowboys executive Stephen Jones addressed the situation directly on Monday.
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan said he expects Mike McCarthy to remain Dallas’ head coach.
“Absolutely. Very confident.”

He said he “absolutely” believes McCarthy will remain the head coach.
That is a tremendous endorsement and has the entire NFL world reacting.
Mike McCarthy isn’t disciplined enough to be a NFL coach. Saw it in GB and yesterday’s performance was more of the same

NFL World Reacts To The Dallas HC Situation
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not known for firing coaches so soon, and most recently held onto Jason Garrett for what many deemed as far too long.
Firing McCarthy would just be out of character for the owner.
That doesn’t mean complaints aren’t flying out on social media.
oh i despise mike mccarthy i will tweet this everyday for the next week

Mike McCarthy really saw Joe Judge get fired after getting clowned for a QB Sneak in Week 18 and said "You ain't see nothin yet"

The national analysis features a lot of confusion because it is hard to say what the Cowboys should do.
Is the grass greener on the other side?
“Undisciplined players are coached by undisciplined coaches.” Dave Aranda, Head Coach-Baylor University.
Sloppy clock management, a playoff record-tying 14 penalties, horrible last-second game management. No accountability. The early playoff exit is on HC Mike McCarthy. https://t.co/L8pCjLFJdk

I am honestly puzzled to what the next step should be for the #Cowboys.
I don't know if they should move on from Mike McCarthy and even if they do, who is a better option?
I am not sure what Dak needs or can do to take the next step either.

"You don't get what you deserve, you get what you earn. The Cowboys think they're entitled to something because they're the Cowboys. As long as Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy are there, the Cowboys aren't winning jack, and Dak Prescott is too rollercoaster."

The head coach showed up to Dallas with a mixed reaction after only winning one Super Bowl in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers.
Jones seemed to hype him up and the result in year one was a 6-10 record.
But that was without Dak Prescott and things got much better in 2021.
The entire NFL world is just now left wondering if the talent assembled by Jones has what it takes to win with or without McCarthy leading them.

The Cowboys are sticking with the coach and that will have fans debating the decision all offseason.
