The Chicago Bears signed Andy Dalton in the offseason and instantly named him the starter.
That title held even after the team drafted Justin Fields with a first-round pick.
While the Bears are now Fields’ team, Dalton has found his way back into the starting lineup this Sunday.
Andy Dalton will start for the Bears on Sunday while Nick Foles will serve as the backup. Matt Nagy indicated that Justin Fields (ankle) is "improving every day."

Fields is out with an injury so Dalton gets the nod again in the home finale for the 5-10 Bears.
Nick Foles will be the backup.
NFL fans have plenty of great reactions to this announcement as head coach Matt Nagy’s seat grows even hotter.
Andy Dalton is blackmailing Matt Nagy & Matt Nagy is blackmailing the Bears front office. I won't accept any other arguments.

NFL Fans React To Dalton’s Start
The fact Dalton gets the start over Foles remains a confusing decision as well.
Remember, Foles led the Bears to a victory last week in Seattle.
Well, the fact they signed Dalton at all with Foles on the roster made no sense.
Then came the decision to not trade Foles anywhere before the deadline.
Not much has made sense in Chicago the past few years.
Andy Dalton??? #FireNagy must really want to be axed yet in 2021… @ChicagoBears #DaBears 🐻⬇️

With Andy Dalton set to start this Sunday against the Giants, the #Bears will have three different quarterbacks starting since the Week 15 game against Minnesota.

The Bears are not playing for anything other than pride and draft position this week.
For Nagy, he looks like he is headed on his way out following the season.
The only thing protecting him may be the fact the Bears have never fired a coach during a season.
That is great for stability, but has fans fuming with his continued decisions from the sidelines.
A win at this point may not matter much in the evaluation of Nagy or GM Ryan Pace.
I totally agree with David here. Why on earth, after a great win, wstart Dalton over Foles just because he is cleared to play. Matt Nagy continues to make head scratching decisions on his way out. He really is a players coach. Can’t say no to any player lol. My god. https://t.co/2IoEDFvnsu

How does Matt Nagy still have a HC job ?

Matt Nagy is literally begging to be fired. https://t.co/v47zMnjbDI

So to recap, Fields is out again so Dalton gets the start even though Foles led the Bears to victory last week.
Maybe Nagy is trying to lose?
Bears fans have a right to be upset and there will be plenty of boos heard from the stands no matter the result in Week 17.
