3 0-1 NFL Teams That Cannot Afford A Loss In Week 2

After months of waiting and finalizing fantasy football rosters, Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season came by quickly.

Some teams won, as expected, while other groups lost but fought hard to the end.

Shocking defeats were also part of the NFL opening weekend which leaves you wondering if these teams are still in preseason mode.

While there are still 16 games left per team, some squads are already in must-win mode by Week 2.

Going down 0-2 can spell even more trouble for these NFL franchises

3. Buffalo Bills

It’s alarming that the Buffalo Bills scored just 16 points in their home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But before going any further, the Pittsburgh defense is one of the NFL’s best, and credit is due after a masterful performance.

However, having Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis, and Emmanuel Sanders on offense should give Buffalo the advantage.

As expected, the Bills dominated in passing yards (254-177) and total plays (79-55).

They also converted eight of their 18 opportunities on third down.

It’s just that they couldn’t push the ball through the end zone.

The Bills must lessen their penalties to avoid giving their opponents a free pass.

Buffalo will be facing the Miami Dolphins, which are coming off a win against the New England Patriots.

The Dolphins are no pushover, making it likely for Sean McDermott to see his squad in a 0-2 hole.

Worse, it doesn’t get easier for Buffalo after that because Washington, Kansas City, and Tennessee are three of their next four opponents.

2. Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson feels the heavy burden upon his shoulders after Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins succumbed to season-ending injuries.

That predicament could explain why he had three fumbles against the Las Vegas Raiders, with the last one costing them a victory.

The winning odds were in the Baltimore Ravens’ favor until Carl Nassib forced a fumble that the Raiders recovered.

Unfortunately, the Raiders scored a touchdown to end the game at 33-27.

The Ravens will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 2, and that’s no easy match-up.

Patrick Mahomes has never lost to the Ravens, and the Chiefs are coming off a come-from-behind win against the Cleveland Browns.

If the Ravens go 0-2, they get the Detroit Lions which are no pushovers either.

After that are the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, and the Los Angeles Chargers, which all have solid defensive units.

1. Green Bay Packers

The Atlanta Falcons are worthy of this spot as well, but expectations with Green Bay are higher.

Sportsbooks perceived the Green Bay matchup versus the New Orleans Saints to be a fairly close affair.

No one expected the domination that happened.

The Packers were just one of two teams that did not score a touchdown in Week 1.

Their defense gave up five touchdowns to Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara, and company.

Green Bay is way better than three points, and they can redeem themselves against the Lions at Lambeau Field.

But even the Lions game is no cakewalk, especially how they nearly overhauled a 24-point deficit against the San Francisco 49ers.

After the Lions, the Packers get the Niners, Steelers, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Then, Green Bay faces the staunch defensive units of Chicago and Washington before meeting Arizona, Kansas City, and Seattle.

That gauntlet might give the Packers a losing record after nine games.
