The Jacksonville Jaguars are tied for the best record in the AFC, and it’s been no fluke.
Despite having a somewhat cruel schedule to start the season, in the sense that they’ve played mostly away from their home, they’ve still thrived en route to a 6-2 record.
Moreover, PFF points out that they’re the only team that has yet to lose a game on the road, going 4-0 thus far.

To make it even more impressive, one of their “home” wins actually happened overseas at Wembley Stadium, so one could make a case for them being actually 5-0 on the road.
Doug Pederson’s team entered the season with plenty of hype, and they’ve definitely been able to live up to the expectations.
They were quite close to beating the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 before a shocking home loss to the Houston Texans in the following game.
They’re riding a five-game winning streak ever since, spoiling the party for every single team they’ve visited over that span.
Trevor Lawrence continues to take leaps forward under Pederson, looking like the star they hoped he’d become when they took him with the No. 1 pick.
Thus far, he’s completed over 68% of his passes for 1,935 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions, adding 42 rushes for an additional 216 yards.
The Jaguars will now face their toughest test in a while.
They’ll head back home to host the San Francisco 49ers, a team desperate for a win and with everything on the line after dropping three games in a row.
