3 NFL QBs Seeking Fresh Starts In 2022

There are plenty of NFL teams that need an excellent quarterback.

While some made trade deals to get their quarterback, other quarterbacks are looking for a new start with the same team.

However, there are also quarterbacks who just want out of their city and onto a new NFL roster.

But no matter how you look at it, there are three well-known quarterbacks seeking fresh starts in 2022.

3. Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is one of those quarterbacks who wasn’t originally looking for a fresh start but is now getting one.

The former Super Bowl quarterback is now in Denver with the Broncos and is ready to make the most out of things with his new team.

He is a motivator, a playmaker, and a fearless player both on and off the field.

This fresh start in Denver now gives him the challenge of doing the things he’s done in Seattle here with his new team.

However, that is a challenge he doesn’t fear, as he’s said before in Seattle in a press conference that you got to have no fear.

He will embrace this change, as it gives him a fresh start with his career that could prove fruitful for him.

But he will have fewer weapons on offense in Denver than he did in Seattle.

2. Justin Fields

Justin Fields is a quarterback looking for a fresh start with the team that picked him last year in the NFL Draft.

This comes from the Chicago Bears having all new coaches and management.

He now has a new playbook to learn, along with some new teammates.

The challenge for him is being a leader as the official starting quarterback for 2022 in Chicago.

Justin Fields was picked off at today’s #Bears practice and should have been on a couple other occasions – but he did complete the best pigeon of all the Qbs by a wide margin. Plenty of compliments from Flus and company on his progress as a leader. pic.twitter.com/OR2rMmiQ8t

2022 also sees him seeking a fresh start with helping the Bears win games.

His offensive line in 2021 was the worst in the NFL, allowing 58 sacks.

This season saw a few upgrades on that line to help him with his fresh start.

With everything riding on his arm and shoulders, this fresh start will be difficult for him.

However, he believes in himself and can motivate his team to help those chances of winning in 2022.

1. Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield is seeking a fresh start ever since his team made the choice to dump him for a new quarterback.

However, he is still waiting on which team he’ll make his fresh start with in 2022.

The desire for a change all started with a meeting by the Browns with Deshaun Watson.

After hearing about the meeting, Mayfield demanded a trade, feeling betrayed by his current team.

With that feeling of betrayal, he now searches for his fresh start in 2022.

However, his contract has been an issue with getting a trade deal done.

But the Browns might bite the bullet and eat some of his contract money in order to get something for him.

If they do this, he can start that journey in 2022.

All that’s left is to see if the Seattle Seahawks or the Carolina Panthers are going to be the new landing spot for him.
