The NFL continues to make changes year after year.
Many rules are brought up at the NFL owners meetings in Arizona.
Some are proposed rule changes that the teams will vote on, and others have nothing to do with the game itself.
According to Tom Pelissero, one of the rules that has been approved is players being allowed to wear the number zero.
NFL owners just approved the proposal to allow players to wear Number Zero, I’m told.

The NFL has made plenty of different moves regarding jersey numbers.
Last season was the first where skill players could wear single-digit numbers.
Now, they will be introducing the number zero into the fold.
We have already seen one player commit to wearing the new number in 2023.
That is Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
He put on social media that he would be the first Jaguars player ever to wear the number.

There will be some getting used to seeing players in the number zero.
But, at least Ridley will make it easy to find him on the field.
You can bet there will be other players that will wear zero as well.
It is only a matter of time until there is one on every team.
While jersey numbers may seem obsolete to most fans, they mean a lot to the players.
That is why we have seen some players pay top dollar to get the number they want.
Keep an eye on which players will be repping the newest number next season.
