The Cincinnati Bengals enter the season with high hopes and expectations, and the responsibility of bouncing back after a heartbreaking end to last year’s campaign.
However, even if Joe Burrow comes back to full strength after missing most of the training camp with a calf injury, Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter believes they could be in for a tough year.
It’s not like the Bengals won’t be great, but the former NFL star believes the Baltimore Ravens will surprise a lot of people, and he even expects them to do better than their divisional rivals if they can all stay healthy.
In his latest appearance on FanDuel TV’s Kay & Adams, Carter also claimed that he wants to see a rematch between ‘modern-day Tom Brady’ Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ravens more lethal than we think? A Super Bowl rematch?

He also believes the Eagles are quite dominant and legitimately a 15-win team next season, which is why he thinks there’s no one who can get in their way in the NFC.
Truth be told, it’s hard to envision any other team except for maybe the San Francisco 49ers as a legitimate threat to stop the Eagles from going back to the big game.
As for the AFC, it’ll be stacked with talent, with the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, and the aforementioned Ravens and Chiefs all going toe-to-toe for the top spot.
Then again, at the end of the day, paper doesn’t win football games, so they’ll have to prove themselves on the field.
