Initially, it had been reported that the Dallas Cowboys signed him to a five-year contract extension.
However, there had been a point in contention within the contract about the Cowboys having the ability to claim a bonus if Gregory is fined or suspended.
Aside from signing Gregory to a long-term deal, they will also have him ready for the upcoming season.

NFL Network’s James Palmer tweeted, “#Broncos pass rusher Randy Gregory is getting activated off of PUP per source. Gregory had off-season shoulder surgery and was one of Denver’s big FA signings this off-season. The expectation is he should be ready for week 1.”
That he will be ready for Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks is fantastic news for Broncos fans.
More importantly, Gregory can help slow down the quarterbacks of their division rivals.
The Kansas City Chiefs have former league and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Gregory’s Career So Far
The former Nebraska standout is coming off a season with six sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception.
His best year came in 2018 when he had career highs of 25 tackles and six sacks in 14 games played.
He was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft and played for them until 2021.
As of last season, he has 85 career tackles, 16.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
The Broncos hope that their investment in him will be worth it.
