There have been many storylines taking place ahead of the Super Bowl, for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
One of the most concerning is the health of Patrick Mahomes, particularly his ankle.
This morning, we received a promising update about Mahomes’ status heading into the Chiefs’ most important game of the season.
Mahomes says he’s getting treatment and rehabbing the ankle. He’s not 100% but is hoping the adrenaline of game day can get him there. #Chiefs

Mahomes isn’t quite fully healthy, but if this report is any indication, he should be good to go on Sunday.
This is great news for the Chiefs, considering that a lot of Mahomes’ game comes from the magic that he creates from scrambling.
Mahomes’ combination of elite arm talent paired with an unbelievable ability to scramble has created a nightmare scenario for most NFL defenses.
However, the Eagles aren’t just another defense.
They are one of the top-rated defenses in the league, and their defensive line is particularly lethal.
Even if Mahomes didn’t have any ankle concerns coming into this game, he would have his work cut out for him.
Four different Eagles defenders have garnered ten or more sacks on the season, and the Chiefs offensive line will need to be on their A-game.
Will Mahomes be able to take home his second Lombardi Trophy in his fifth year as the Chiefs starter?
We only have to wait four more days to find out.
The good news for Mahomes is that means that he also has four more days to rehab his ankle, working tirelessly to ensure that he is close to fully healthy as possible.
