The Miami Dolphins are in dire straits after winning their first three games.
They have lost their last two games and tallied a total of 32 points.
In contrast, they had 42 in their come-from-behind Week 2 win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Losing Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion led to this downfall.
The former Alabama standout suffered the injury after a sack by Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou.
His timetable remains uncertain as the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant that helped clear him in Week 4 was fired.
In his absence, though, Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson haven’t executed their offense with the same efficiency.
Thompson took over for Bridgewater in Week 5 and finished with 19 completions out of 33 attempts for 166 yards and an interception.
However, NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport shared a development about the Dolphins’ quarterback situation.
#Dolphins QB Teddy Bridgewater will be on the practice field today for Miami on a limited and non-contact basis, I'm told. Another step in the concussion protocol.

Rapoport tweeted, “#Dolphins QB Teddy Bridgewater will be on the practice field today for Miami on a limited and non-contact basis, I’m told. Another step in the concussion protocol.”
Bridgewater suffered the injury after taking a hard hit from New York Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner.
He was immediately taken to the locker room after being listed with a head injury and was placed under concussion protocol.
Miami’s goal is to have Bridgewater starting for the Dolphins in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Otherwise, Thompson will have his first start as an NFL quarterback.
