Everybody across the country has been awaiting an update on Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
The 24-year-old has remained in critical condition since collapsing on Monday night in the game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, and support has been coming from everybody — sports fan or not.
On Wednesday, NFL insider Cameron Wolfe provided an important update on Hamlin’s health.
Just spoke with Jordon Rooney @jordonr, family friend of Damar Hamlin, who noted that “things are moving in a positive direction” but that there is still no clarity or timeline in final recovery yet. More coming on @nflnetwork

Wolfe spoke to family friend Jordon Rooney, who said, “things are moving in a positive direction.”
That is a positive update, although Rooney adds there’s no timeline or clarity on recovery just yet.
The Bills-Bengals game was postponed, and the NFL has not announced any update regarding resuming play, so Week 18 is approaching quickly for teams across the league.
Players left and right have reached out to support Hamlin, and his charity has received millions of dollars in donations since Monday night.
Fans from both teams gathered around outside of the hospital to offer up prayers and well wishes, and Bengals head coach Zac Taylor was seen at the scene as well.
Buffalo wide receiver Stefon Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen also showed their support, and everybody’s thoughts are with Hamlin at this time.
The Bills are scheduled to host the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon, although it is difficult to imagine anybody being able to play football after what took place on Monday.
We will continue to monitor the situation with updates on Damar Hamlin when they come out, but Wolfe’s latest is definitely a positive piece of news in a difficult situation.
