San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel requesting a trade sent shockwaves throughout the league.
Every team seeking a wideout might have even altered their draft strategy because of that development.
After all, why gamble on an unproven talent if an All-Pro is up for grabs?
He will command a high price once his rookie contract is over, but that’s a problem that NFL front offices would rather have.
It will be unsurprising if the 49ers experience a surge in phone calls after the request was made public.
But while most of the league feels that Samuel will play for another team in 2023, one team thinks he will stay in San Francisco.
Meanwhile, my understanding is there's feeling currently* within the #Jets org that WR Deebo Samuel won't be moved at all, unless San Francisco gets a King's ransom, per league source.

CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson tweeted, “Meanwhile, my understanding is there’s feeling currently* within the #Jets org that WR Deebo Samuel won’t be moved at all, unless San Francisco gets a King’s ransom, per league source.”
Either the Jets are the last ones to confirm the situation, or they know something other NFL teams don’t.
The 49ers will lose their most significant player on offense, and they will demand a hefty trade package in return.
Samuel has been more valuable than their quarterbacks because he had a massive impact on their passing and running attacks.
The 49ers Might Get A Tyreek Hill-Like Haul
The Kansas City Chiefs received five draft picks from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Tyreek Hill.
Since Samuel’s stats are comparable to what Hill produced last season, the 49ers will likely demand multiple early-round picks in the 2022 and 2023 drafts.
It’s like San Francisco is losing a wide receiver and a running back in giving away the South Carolina alumnus, and they want more opportunities to fill those roster gaps.
