This past NFL season was a rough one for the Indianapolis Colts.
After making a trade for Matt Ryan, the team had plenty of issues that prevented them from winning games.
However, the biggest injury the Colts saw during 2022 was that of running back Jonathan Taylor.
His issue with his ankle kept him out of six games during the season.
While his ankle injury hurt his performance this past season, there’s some promising news for the star running back.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Taylor has gone through surgery to ensure he’s ready for 2023.
After a season filled with fighting through pain, #Colts RB Jonathan Taylor tells me he underwent ankle surgery this week to make sure he’s “100 percent ready to rock.”

With 2022 being a rough one for him, Taylor now focuses on rehab and recovery.
The star running back worked through his injury since week four of the NFL season.
While he fought through the pain, his performance in most games suffered because of his injury.
However, getting the surgery out of the way gives him plenty of recovery time.
With over six months before the 2023 NFL preseason begins, Taylor has the time to make his recovery a dominant one.
The star running back will look to return as the NFL’s rushing leader when 2023 kicks off.
His 2021 season saw him rushing for 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns.
If he can return to these numbers, the Colts will be in a magnificent spot when the new season begins.
While he has plenty of time to recover, he can’t relax during his recovery.
If he puts in the proper work when he gets clearance to practice, he can easily get back into his 2021 form.
