The Washington Commanders escaped Thursday Night Football with a narrow 12-7 win over the Chicago Bears.
However, it was the post-game press conference which gave fans some real entertainment.
Head coach Ron Rivera went on a profanity laced rant that is turning heads online.
But the rant starts with one simple word he uttered after the Commanders narrow loss against the Tennessee Titans.
That one word he said to reporters was “quarterback.”
"Why do you think the teams in the division are farther ahead at this point?"

While that response made waves, it’s his rant that’s making waves now, and Twitter users are voicing their opinions on the rant.
Twitter Users Opinion Of Rivera Rant Vary
The Rivera rant was different for everyone.
While some saw it as pure press conference gold, others blame the Commanders ownership for his rant.
That Ron Rivera rant might be one of the best coach press conference rants of all time in any sport.

Some believe it was Soldier Field that got him fired up.
Soldier field is YOUR home for opposing coach rants. Win or lose, they will provide.

Panthers’ fans also chimed in, saying how much they miss Rivera in Carolina.

However, one Twitter user blames Rivera for the rant that he went on Thursday night.

The Commanders’ head coach had to speak his mind to reporters, even after winning.
Wait. These guys won, right?

While the issues with reporters roasting him over comments about Carson Wentz are his fault, there’s a deeper story in Washington.
Rivera’s Rant Comes Off The Heels Of Reports Of Team’s Owner
The Commanders entire roster and coaching staff is dealing with issues stemming from the team’s owner, Dan Snyder.
On Thursday morning, reports came out of Snyder speaking in private about him having dirt on NFL owners.
However, these reports are affecting everyone who’s working for the Commanders.
With journalists questioning players and coaches, it’s serving as a distraction.
Therefore, the Commanders’ head coach went on his profanity laced rant from those questions.
Brian Robinson, the Commanders rookie running back, had Bears fans chanting “sell the team” during his post-game interview.

Snyder’s actions are clearly leaking into the locker room of the Commanders.
Thursday night was the end for Rivera and his disgust with everything.
While Snyder Is A Distraction, Rivera Needs To Be A Leader
It’s clear the Commanders’ head coach is fed up with reporters and the situation in Washington.
However, it’s his job to lead the team, regardless of any distractions.
While his rant isn’t professional, he made the right call to have his voice heard.
With that rant, he can use it as fuel to energize his team, who snapped a four game losing streak on Thursday.
But he also put reporters on notice about how his team is dealing with the Snyder issue.
They shouldn’t be questioned about their owners misdeeds that they have knowledge of or any control over.
The rant was a boiling point for both Rivera and many others on the Commanders roster.
It’s clear they are over all the drama which Snyder is bringing to Washington.
They don’t deserve to hear chants directed at the team owner while they have interviews they are conducting.
So while Rivera was the voice of frustration in Washington Thursday night, it won’t end until Snyder is gone.
