The Carolina Panthers have a terrific character in Xavier Legette.
The rookie out of South Carolina hasn’t had the big season some thought he’d have, but as the team’s passing game has progressed, he’s done the same.
Nevertheless, Legette has made the rounds for more than his game.
He’s gone viral multiple times during his debut season for his personality and antics.
That happened again after his recent appearance on Amon-Ra St. Brown’s podcast.
As shown by Dov Kleiman on X, the South Carolina native admitted that he’s a big fan of eating raccoons.

It didn’t take long before the fans noticed this and flooded social media with comments about it.

The Panthers got off to a dreadful start to the season, but they’ve looked much better lately.
They will be favored on Sunday for the first time in two years when they host the Dallas Cowboys, and that speaks volumes about not only the Cowboys’ struggles but also their improvement under coach Dave Canales.
While they haven’t won games, they’ve been very competitive against some very good teams, and Bryce Young is finally looking like a potential starter at the next level.
Of course, having Legette take a leap forward and live up to his projection as a first-round pick would also help this team’s case.
For now, however, he will be known more for the rookie who likes to eat raccoons than for his skills on the football field.
