The Senior Bowl is the next big event for college football players looking to show off their skills to NFL scouts and executives.
According to one draft analyst, one college quarterback who has a chance to improve his draft stock tremendously is Jalen Milroe of Alabama.
“You want him to be good so bad. … Can he just take the next steps as a passer? … He’s got a huge opportunity at the Senior Bowl next week,” Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network said on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Milroe helped guide Alabama to the SEC title and the College Football Playoff in 2023, posting 35 total touchdowns in the process.
In 2024, he took a small step back as he threw 11 interceptions compared to the previous year’s six.
However, he did rush for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns.
The mobility has always been there, but can he become a better thrower from the pocket?
SEC quarterbacks who had great rushing ability like Tim Tebow and Cam Newton had their moments in the NFL, but neither ended up winning a Super Bowl.
If Milroe has that on his mind, he is going to have to prove he can be a good passer at the next level.
The Senior Bowl is the first big step for him in the pre-draft process, with the NFL Scouting Combine another important event on the calendar.
