There are a few iconic days throughout the NFL season when fans can count on games being played.
The Thanksgiving games are the most historic, but the league has added additional marquee games over the past few years, including a Christmas Day game.
2023 will mark the first time a game is played on Black Friday.
Now that the schedule is being finalized, the NFL has announced that this game will feature the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

2023 will mark Aaron Rodgers’ first season with the Jets.
He and the rest of his new teammates will take on Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins, in a divisional matchup.
Tagovailoa was on track to have his best career season in 2022, which fell short due to concussion concerns.
As he has worked to get back to full health, the rest of the organization has committed to a strong defense, while keeping around elite offensive pieces.
Tyreek Hill was a massive addition for them last year, and Jaylen Waddle’s third season should only be improved if last year was any indication.
While Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have familiarity with each other, the same cannot be said about Rodgers and the Jets.
Before officially signing Rodgers, the Jets were incredibly active in the offseason, acquiring many new pieces.
They have added significant receiving help, which should allow Rodgers to succeed right away.
Have the Jets done enough to make the playoffs for the first time in 12 years?
This Black Friday game could have significant implications for a postseason run.
