At the age of just 27, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already one of the NFL’s all-time greats.
It isn’t just because he’s a very prolific passer or the fact that he already owns two Vince Lombardi trophies.
Analyst Warren Sharp pointed out that in Mahomes’ 80 career starts, the Chiefs have lost only twice by more than one score, which is an incredible fact.
Patrick Mahomes has started 80 games
the Chiefs have only lost 2 of them by more than one score
2 of 80
by far the best rate of we've seen in NFL history
his ceiling is best in the NFL & his floor is such that even in his worst games he keeps his team competitive

In those 80 starts, Mahomes has collected 24,241 passing yards and 192 passing touchdowns while completing 66.3 percent of his pass attempts.
He has posted a passer rating of over 100 in four of his five full seasons as a starter, and in two of those five years, he has gone over 5,000 passing yards.
2022 may have been Mahomes’ best season yet, as he threw for 5,250 yards and 41 touchdowns while notching a QBR of 77.6 and leading the NFL in all three categories.
The fact that he did all that despite the departure of superstar wideout Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Miami Dolphins, is all the more impressive.
Next season, Mahomes and the Chiefs will have a new challenge, as they will have to make do without JuJu Smith-Schuster, their most productive wideout in 2022, who left to join the New England Patriots.
But they have been there and done that before, as plenty weren’t picking them to win the Super Bowl when last season started.
Still, many have Kansas City at or near the top of their NFL power rankings as there are now less than 100 days to go before the start of the 2023 campaign.
