Due to the spectacular young NFL quarterback talent in the AFC, many have regarded the NFC as a weaker conference overall.
With Aaron Rodgers likely on his way out of Green Bay, yet another elite quarterback will be leaving the NFC.
Robert Griffin III has recently ranked the top-five NFC quarterbacks with Rodgers now out of the picture.
.@RGIII's top five NFC QBs if Rodgers plays for the Jets:
1. Jalen Hurts
2. Kirk Cousins
3. Dak Prescott
4. Kyler Murray
5. Geno Smith pic.twitter.com/al4Tjlo2VR— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) March 23, 2023
Griffin’s rankings begin with Jalen Hurts and is followed by Kirk Cousins, Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray, and Geno Smith.
Cousins was an initial shock to many, given his lack of national press coverage.
The Minnesota Vikings lost in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, which added to the narrative that Cousins can’t win in the spotlight.
Smith won the Comeback Player of the Year award, after taking over the job in Seattle once Russell Wilson was traded.
Murray has been surrounded with question marks heading into the 2023 season, after the injuries he sustained in 2022.
However, the Arizona Cardinals do have a new head coach, and the team should have a new look this year.
Prescott took the Dallas Cowboys to the Divisional round of the playoffs, where they ultimately fell to the San Francisco 49ers.
His ability to lead this team, at least in the public eye, has been called into question even though the team has contended otherwise.
Hurts, of course, led the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl, and was an MVP candidate due to his on-field efforts.
How will these players finish in 2023 with Griffin’s ranks in mind?
