The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending NFC champs, and thus many people are picking them to return to the Super Bowl this coming season.
It has left the San Francisco 49ers, the team they defeated in the NFC Championship Game, flying a bit under the radar, but they could easily reach the Super Bowl this winter.
In fact, analyst Adam Schein feels that San Francisco is the team to beat in the NFC as of now.

Schein pointed to the unexpected success quarterback Brock Purdy had once he took over the starting job for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 13 versus the Miami Dolphins.
Purdy, who was the last player chosen in the 2022 NFL Draft, did very well from that point on, and if it weren’t for the torn UCL in his throwing elbow he suffered in the NFC title game, perhaps the 49ers would’ve made it to the Super Bowl.
Schein also feels that a full offseason and training camp of star running back Christian McCaffrey will make the team’s offense that much better.
McCaffrey arrived in a midseason trade in October, and he jump-started an offense that had been mediocre and predictable to that point.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is someone who has reportedly done well in OTAs and minicamp this offseason, and Schein said that fellow wideout Deebo Samuel “is going to have the season of his life” after seeing his production drop in 2022.
Perhaps all the 49ers need is sustained good health in order to earn their sixth Vince Lombardi Trophy this coming season.
