The Kansas City Royals have finally found their new manager.
Last night, it was announced that the Royals would be hiring Matt Quatraro to become the 18th manager in their franchise history, replacing the recently dismissed Mike Matheny.
Quatraro had previously been the bench coach for the Tampa Bay Rays, serving in the role under Kevin Cash.
Last night, Quatraro got a chance to talk about his new position, expressing excitement to get started and praising the Royals for the talent on the roster, the organization’s culture, and the fans in Kansas City.
His statement can be found in the tweet below, courtesy of sports analyst Harold R. Kuntz.
New #Royals Manager Matt Quatraro: "I already knew the talent on the roster and how great the fans in Kansas City are, and the interview process convinced me that the terrific things I’d heard about the organization’s culture are true. I can’t wait to get started." pic.twitter.com/HVjxD2JNA4

Quatraro Excited To Manage Royals
The Royals have some exciting young players currently on the roster.
Bobby Witt Jr., Brady Singer, Drew Waters, MJ Melendez, and Vinnie Pasquantino headline that group of young stars that surrounds veteran players such as Hunter Dozier and Salvador Perez.
Needless to say, the Royals could soon emerge as one of the top young teams in all of baseball.
Quatraro also has some experience with winning organizations such as the Rays and the Cleveland Guardians, which could be beneficial for some of the Royals’ younger players.
Quatraro is clearly excited about getting the opportunity to manage the Royals and to help lead the organization into a new era, one that consists of winning more frequently.
He was also very clearly impressed with the culture of the organization.
Now, the Royals have their man and are ready to begin a new era.
