The Houston Rockets are currently in the midst of reshaping their future and planning what comes next.
They didn’t even come remotely close to the postseason this year but they recently made a big move by hiring a new head coach, Ime Udoka.
And there is no doubt more changes are on the horizon.
According to NBA writer Jake Fischer, via Bleacher Report, the Rockets have “addressed the idea” of trading away their young star Jalen Green for possible targets including James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers and Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The idea of Harden returning to the struggling team is not a new one and has been floating around the league all season long.
In fact, some rumors have said that even if the Sixers win the Finals this year, Harden would still be interested in going back to Texas.
Middleton’s future with the Bucks is up in the air now too, especially since that team just lost in the opening round of the playoffs and will have big decisions to make about their next steps.
Losing Green would be a huge deal for the Rockets.
The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, he has been a terrific young star with a load of potential and promise.
The fact that the Rockets could be willing to say goodbye to him shows how serious they are about rebuilding.
Of course, Houston would rather keep Green on board alongside Harden or Middleton so that will be their first approach in the months ahead.
It is becoming obvious that the Rockets are planning on making some monumental moves to secure a bright future.
