The NBA world doesn’t agree on much often, but right now everyone sees eye-to-eye on one thing: Ben Simmons of the Brooklyn Nets is a disappointment.

Simmons was set to finally make his season debut in Game 4 against Boston Celtics – a must-win game that is make-or-break for the Nets.

But after days of being told he would play, fans of the Nets were let down to learn that Simmons is still out due to a nagging back injury.

This caused quite an uproar online, from both fans and analysts.

Cmon MAN!!! Out for Game 4 when it was rumored you were going to make your debut. This dude has ZERO competitive 🔥.. As small a chance as the Nets have to come back in this series, you still have KD and Kyrie, all you need is to win ONE game and take it from there.. #ManUp pic.twitter.com/Y5smcnQkqZ

NBA icon Reggie Miller gave his two cents on the situation, blasting Simmons on Twitter.

“Cmon MAN!!! Out for Game 4 when it was rumored you were going to make your debut. This dude has ZERO competitive [fire],” Miller said.

He went on: “As small a chance as the Nets have to come back in this series, you still have KD and Kyrie, all you need is to win ONE game and take it from there..”

Miller ended the tweet with the hashtag #ManUp, yet another jab at Simmons.

Simmons Sits Some More

Simmons was supposed to be an integral part of the Nets after being traded to the team from the Philadelphia 76ers.

He was coming off months of being benched due to mental health problems and a back injury.

Despite all the controversy around him, Brooklyn still had high hopes for Simmons and saw him as someone who could greatly improve their defense.

So far he’s done absolutely nothing but wear fancy outfits and watch games from the sidelines.

There is no doubt that Simmons could still improve the Nets and make them Finals contenders.

However, that won’t be happening this season and that’s leaving a very sour taste in the mouths of all NBA fans.
