Most people are bothered by the way Durant acted, demanding a trade despite owing the Nets four more years and then ultimately deciding to stick with them after so much fuss and fervor.
One person who is ticked off by the whole situation – and Durant in general – is none other than NBA legend Charles Barkley.

Speaking to the Bickley & Marotta Morning show in Arizona, Barkley let it all out.
“He seems like a miserable person, man,” Barkley said of Durant.
He added: “I call him Mr. Miserable. He’s never going to be happy. Everybody’s given him everything on a silver platter. He was the man in Oklahoma City, they loved him, he owned the entire state. He bolts on them and wins back-to-back championships, and he’s still not happy.”
He concluded: “Then he goes to Brooklyn, they give him everything he wants and he’s still miserable.”
It is easy to understand why Barkley would feel that way about Durant but is this really a fair assessment?
It sure does seem like Durant is unhappy a lot of the time but that doesn’t consider other elements that contribute to his attitude.
Barkley claims that everyone loved him when he played for the Thunder but that simply is not true.
In fact, there was controversy about the way the local press in Oklahoma treated Durant.
Meanwhile, he may have ended up leaving the Warriors but not before helping them win two championship rings.
He found great success with Golden State before moving on.
It’s hard to defend the Brooklyn Nets situation but to simply say Durant is unhappy all the time is a bit disingenuous.
Knowing Durant, you can bet he will have a few opinions about Barkley’s claims.
